Nice set. I have 8 or 9 #2s as Atkins really turned them out in the more than 50 years they were in production, but you seldom see the box and instructions and in such good shape to boot. You might want to scroll down to the Atkins 1888 Jointer Trailcrew posted on this page a while back--there is a link to the US Patent Office site that shows the two uses for this jointer. Thanks for sharing.

Good feller, Thank you! I did take a look and printed off the US Patent Office sheets to keep with tis set.

I also edited the Simonds No. 342 Saw Tool post. Somehow I didn't get all my pictures included there.

My very first raker gauge was an Atkins. I don't have the complete set, nor the box like you do. Nice set you have.
